Midgets - age 7+ Friday 4.15 to 5.15 and Saturday 9.15 to 10.15am
Pre Interclub - dependant on ability Fri 5.15 to 6.15, Saturday 10.15 to 11.15am and 11.15 to 12.15pm
Please note that age groups may change depending on numbers.
Alistair Hunt along with his team of experienced coaches will teach various tennis skills through games, and repetition. Our aim is to make learning fun. In the older learn to play age group; coaches will focus on preparing these players for interclub competition next season. Coaches will concentrate on teaching these players; how to score a game, how to serve and eventually, how to play a full game of tennis.

Interclub tennis is run by Canterbury Tennis. Interclub provides a competitive environment for Junior players between the ages of 10 and 18.
Teams are made up of four players who compete in both single and double matches. Within each age group there are a number of divisions to ensure teams are players at an appropriate level.
Tennis games are played on Friday nights and Saturday mornings across a wide range of clubs and locations throughout the city. Interclub tennis is not only a great environment to further develop our junior
tennis talent it also provides an interesting mix of individual and team achievements.
The Te Kura junior interclub is constantly growing.
Last season the Te Kura junior interclub had seven teams make the finals.
The 2010/11 season commences on Friday 16th October, Saturday the 17th October and Sunday the 18th of October.
Challenger will now be played on a Sunday morning starting at either 9am or 10am. This season Challenger will be biased on top dog points, if you would like to check your points the link is on our website for this on the left hand side under draws and results.
The teams this season will be also allocated into divisions by Canterbury tennis.
We try to keep teams to a maximum of five players. Each team is allocated a one hour training session with their coach during the week.

Club Championships are held early in the New Year with a single and double draw championship. All junior interclub players can enter the singles championships and can also choose a partner to enter into the double championships.
Juniors are able to challenge other junior players in the club. The aim is to work your way through the ladder with the aim of challenging yourself further, and this will also give you the opportunity to play more players of similar level.
Please see rules on the junior noticeboard in the Te Kura clubhouse or view Junior Ladder Rules
